Remove the financial uncertainty in your family law case with our fixed fee legal services!

In the absence of legal aid for many family law cases, many people who would previously have qualified to have part or all of their legal costs covered in family law cases are now finding that they face the prospect of funding their case themselves. Given that much of the work our family law team undertake is on behalf of people who are going through very unhappy times in their life, not knowing whether you can afford professional legal advice can create uncertainty, stress and extra worry when you least want it.

At Canter Levin & Berg Solicitors, we have put together our fixed fee legal services with this in mind. Whilst we can no longer offer free legal services if you don’t qualify for legal aid, we hope that our comprehensive list of fixed-price legal services will help to remove the uncertainty over costs that you might have at the beginning of any family law case.

How our fixed fees service works

At the heart of our fixed fee legal services for family law cases is our initial consultation session. Priced at £120 inclusive of VAT, this consultation is a chance for you to meet face to face with one of our solicitors at our offices for a thorough discussion of your situation, your expectations and the legal options available to you. Unlike other firms, we do not limit the time of these initial appointments as we believe our clients deserve our time.

During the consultation our solicitor will be able to answer any questions you might have about your family law problem, including the steps you might need to take to resolve the issue and the costs of each stage of your case. We have broken down the charges for all of our family law services so you can see right from the beginning exactly what work our solicitors and staff will be doing on your behalf, how long this is likely to take and what costs are involved.

As this initial appointment is without any obligation to you, you choose how you wish to proceed. It might be the case that you wish to instruct us on a fixed fee basis, or it could be that, armed with the expert legal advice we have given, you wish to handle your matter yourself. We believe that this is a choice you should be free to make.

If, following your consultation, you wish to instruct us to work on your case, then we will issue you with a detailed estimate of the costs of your case, covering all of the fixed fee services your solicitor will provide to help you to resolve your family law issue.  Use our enquiry form to book your consultation today.
