Privacy and security
We operate and maintain this website ourselves so that any data submitted is
sent directly to us. Our website is hosted on servers at "www.easyspace.com"
Easyspace which is one of the leading internet companies in the United
Kingdom. Our site does include external links to third party websites which are
not under our control. Consequently, we cannot accept reponsibility for the
content or use of external websites.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is central to the provision of legal services and it is
something which we take very seriously. We are prevented by our regulatory
authority, The Solicitors Regulation Authority, from disclosing personal details of our clients to
anyone outside the firm unless we have express permission from the client to do
so. That is a principle which we extend to all visitors who submit information
by e-mail or by completing forms on this site. The information submitted in
completed forms is sent direct by e-mail transfer to the solicitor who will
deal with the matter and you may be assured that it will be treated in strict
confidence. In particular, we will not disclose any information including your
e-mail address to any third parties including advertisers.
Data protection
We do not collect any personal data which identifies visitors to our website
unless information is submitted by the choice to do so, for example, by
completing and submitting a questionnaire or enquiry form. If you choose to
submit an enquiry form or questionnaire we may collect information including
your name, address, occupation and other relevant information as indicated in
the form. We will not provide any information submitted to any third party for
marketing or other purposes. We are registered with the Information
Commissioner for the processing of personal data. Under the Data Protection Act
1998, you are entitled to request details of any personal information that we
hold about you. A fee is payable. If you want to make such a request, please
write to the Data Protection Compliance Officer, Canter Levin & Berg, 1 Temple
Square, 24 Dale Street, Liverpool L2 5RU.
Please also check our terms of business for further information
about data protection.
Transmission of data
We do not use a secure server for the transmission of information included in
completed forms. Instead, information is sent direct by e-mail to its intended
recipient who is the solicitor who will deal with the matter. It is in the
nature of the internet that even the most secure arrangements are not
invulnerable. However, it is most unlikely that anyone would go to the trouble
of hacking information which is most unlikely to be of any interest to such
people. Our view is that by submitting information in our forms, there is no
more risk (and probably much less risk) than posting us a letter or a
questionnaire. However, if you remain concerned about the electronic
transmission of your completed form, please print off the form and send it to us by post
to CLBonline (ref.MCM), Canter Levin & Berg, 1 Temple Square, 24 Dale Street, Liverpool
L2 5RU, England .
We remind you that no formal relationship of solicitor and client is created
until instructions have been accepted by an acknowledgement from Canter Levin &
Berg. For the avoidance of doubt, neither the submission nor confirmation of
submission of a form constitutes such an acknowledgement.
