Liverpool’s first ever horror festival launches this Halloween and promises to bring all things horror to the city; from a Victorian Séance, film, talks, live theatre and music, costumes, psychics, vaudeville, DJs and everything in between. With core events running from Thursday October 31 to Saturday November 2, along with fringe events.

The festival, running from next Thursday, features screenings of some classic horror films including Hellraiser, as well as new British zombie-comedy Stalled. One of the highlights is sure to be a special effects workshop on Saturday with Shaune Harrison, the man behind the make-up used in films such as World War Z, Star Wars and Captain America. Shaune grew up here on Merseyside and will be returning to host his workshop and a Q&A session at Eric's
