Matthew Rogan joins our Family Law department

We’re pleased to welcome our new Family Law Solicitor, Matthew Rogan, to the firm.

The family law department here at Canter Levin & Berg is growing as we welcome Matthew Rogan, our new Family Law Solicitor. Since qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005 Matthew has worked on a wide range of Family Law cases, in particular providing advice to couples whose relationship has broken down in order to help them to agree financial settlements.

Reaching a suitable financial settlement in a divorce (or ‘ancillary relief’ as it is known by lawyers) is often one of the most important elements to consider when dealing with the legal implications of a divorce, the breakdown of a civil partnership or the end of a cohabiting relationship. Receiving specialist advice from Matthew, or another one of our Family Law Solicitors, can remove some of the uncertainty from what can be a complex and involved process.

Matthew, who is a member of Law Society Advanced Family Panel and the Law Society Children Accreditation Scheme, also has extensive experience representing parents and children in complex legal cases.

The child law issues Matthew has previously advised his clients on include disputes over the custody of a child, arrangements for access, disputes over parental responsibility and applications for prohibited steps orders – for example in situations where one parent seeks to take a child out of the country permanently. In addition Matthew has also advised parents during care proceedings issued by local authorities and in situations where there is involvement from Social Services.
