The Department of Work and Pensions has launched a web-based app to help families undergoing separation to get access to personalised advice and details of how to access further support. The launch of the app, called Sorting out Separation, comes as a YouGov Poll of 2,505 of UK adults commissioned by the DWP revealed that over half of those questions said they found it hard to access the help and support services when they separate from their partner.

The Sorting Out Separation app will cover all aspects of the separation process including how to avoid a separation in the first instance and advice on coping with the emotional impact of breaking up. Other information featured in the app is designed to help people who want to access legal support or support for their housing needs as well as people who need to sort out child maintenance.

For more information on the app, and the websites where it will be available, see this press release from Family Law Week.
