Are you or someone you know paying nursing home fees?
If so, you may be one of the thousands of people across England and Wales that have been paying fees that should have been funded by the NHS and you might be able to claim this money back. It is a little known fact that if you, or a family member, are in a nursing home due to physical or mental health difficulties you could be eligible to have your ongoing care home fees paid by the NHS.
If you have previously been paying care home fees then you may also be entitled to reclaim the fees you have paid in the past.
How do I know if I can reclaim care home fees?
If you or a relative suffer from a serious health condition and have been paying for care (either in a care home or at home) since 1 April 2004 then you may be eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare to meet your healthcare costs.
Can I reclaim fees on behalf of someone else?
Yes. Many of our clients are reclaiming care home fees on behalf of a family member who is unable to make a claim themselves, either because they are too ill to do so or have sadly passed away.
Is there an upfront fee?
No. We will undertake a free no obligation assessment and advise you if you have a claim.
If we are able to proceed with your claim it will be funded on the basis of a “no win, no fee” agreement. You will be responsible for any payments to third parties, which can include the costs of obtaining care home records and previous NHS Continuing Healthcare assessments.
